Joe Tippmann, All-Pro Quincy Williams Assist in Hosting Inaugural Event at Jets Training Facility

The Jets, in collaboration with Special Olympics New Jersey, launched a Unified High School Flag Football League that includes four New Jersey high schools who will compete in the new league. The Jets hosted a kickoff clinic for all participants at the Atlantic Health Jets Training Center on Wednesday and each team participated in a number of drills and also received uniforms, footballs, flag belts, and practice jerseys along with hope that this league serves as a pilot for the state to offer Unified Flag Football as an official sport for high schools in the future. The Jets hosted the Inaugural Girls Flag Football Invitational presented by Nike at the Atlantic Health Jets Training Center on Saturday. Eight high school teams from New York City and New Jersey participated in a modified three game pool-style tournament. The winner of each pool competed in a final championship game, with the winning school receiving a trophy and invitation to attend the Jets pre-season Play Football game.

The Jets and Chicago Bears announced the expansion of the Jets and Bears NFL Girls Flag League in the UK, with participation numbers more than doubling and now includes multiple London boroughs. Over 200 girls from 21 participating schools kicked off the league in Southwest London and were joined by Jets LB Quincy Williams and Bears LB Tremaine Edmunds.

The Jets hosted the first annual Girls High School Flag Football media day at MetLife Stadium, presented by Nike with support from Gatorade and Visa. More than 60 high schools representing eight athletic conferences throughout New York and New Jersey attended the event. Two players and their head coach participated in interviews and attended a talk with Nausicaa Dell'Orto, captain of the Italian National Flag Football Team.

Jets business staff members packaged more than 60,000 meals in appreciation of the National Day of Service. The meals were donated to Community Foodbank of New Jersey, Nourish NJ and Homeless Solutions.

During their guest speaker series, Jets General Manager Joe Douglas addressed the group and held a Q&A session with the Soldier Coaches. Over the course of the program, the Soldier Coaches learned the process of becoming a football coach and earned coaching certificates following the seminar.

Later in the week, the Jets and Ticketmaster hosted over 30 participants at an in-person seminar at MetLife Stadium for a full day of strategic coaching seminars and classes. Soldier Coaches were given a tour of the Jets Locker Room – where each participant was surprised with their own personalized locker nameplate, custom Jets x Ticketmaster x Soldiers to Sidelines gear, Jets yearbooks, Jets legacy mini helmets and $200 MetLife Stadium gift cards, courtesy of Ticketmaster. All Soldier Coaches and Soldiers to Sidelines staff wrapped up their week with tickets to the Jets vs. Chargers Salute to Service game, which was provided by Ticketmaster. Soldiers to Sidelines hosted a tailgate prior to kickoff and all participants were honored on-field during the game for earning their coaching certificates. On World Mental Health day, The New York Jets and Super Football Conference provided a Mental Health Workshop for students, athletes, coaches, and educators at MetLife Stadium hosted by the U.S. Center for Mental Health & Sport. Jets defensive lineman Solomon Thomas served as the keynote speaker where all attendees received mental health awareness trainings

The Jets, DL Solomon Thomas, and Stomp Out Bullying also announced a donation to create a wellness room at East Orange Campus High School in East Orange, NJ. Thomas attended a check presentation in front of students and faculty and shared his personal journey with mental health. The donation will refurbish an existing classroom into a semi-private space for relaxation, stress relief, and emotional regulation. The room will be fully equipped with relaxing tools and furniture to help students decompress.

Jets center Connor McGovern visited with Wayne Hills High School to provide a physical education experience for special needs students and their peers. Wayne Hills High School recently adopted the ABLE in School curriculum, an inclusive physical education course for students with special needs and their peers that was created by McGovern and TNT Kid's Fitness.

The Atlantic Health Jets Women's Organization in partnership with the Atlantic Health System's Goryeb Children's Hospital and American Cancer Society hosted a Crucial Catch relaxation event for mothers and daughters who have been touched by cancer at MetLife Stadium on Tuesday.
