Jets Rookies Participate in Cops & Kids Event As Part of Development Program

As a part of the team's rookie development program, the Jets recently hosted Operation Conversation: Cops & Kids where officers from the NYPD and Newark PD came to the Atlantic Health Jets Training Center to interact with the rookies and young inner-city adults to try and improve police-community relations.

The Jets, Quidel and United Way of Northern New Jersey distributed 10,000 QuickVue At-Home OTC Covid-19 tests to the United in Care network of child care providers and their families, as well as United Way's Caregivers Coalition targeting under-resourced communities. United in Care's Little Wonders Childcare & Learning Center in Lopatcong, New Jersey, is a participating center with United In Care. Quidel is an official diagnostics partner of the New York Jets.

Jets Players Help Coach Play 60 Flag Football Program with Local Sixth Graders

Several Jets players, including Quinnen Williams, Michael Carter and John Franklin-Myers, teamed up to help battle childhood obesity by helping coach flag football teams as part of the Jets Fuel Up to Play 60 Flag Football Program. More than 80 sixth graders from six local middle schools competed in the tournament at Madison Recreation Complex.

Created to honor and celebrate essential workers in the Tri-State area, the MetLife Workforce Mural Contest paid tribute to those who continued to support their local communities throughout the pandemic. The contest's winning murals, Thank You Silhouette by 17-year old Tiffany Loo, from Lodi, NJ and Angels Among Us by 61-year old Tricia Reilly-Matthews from Tomkins Cove, NY, were unveiled prior to the Jets-Giants game on Aug. 14 and will be displayed at MetLife Stadium throughout the 2021 season.
