On Sunday, the New York Jets and Nike Hosted the Third Annual High School Girls Flag Football Invitational at the Atlantic Health Jets Training Center in Florham Park, NJ. The Invitational was a modified three game pool style tournament, culminating in a championship game where Susan E. Wagner took down Notre Dame, 27-8. For winning the tournament, Susan E. Wagner received a team trophy and was invited to attend the Jets Preseason Play Football Game at MetLife Stadium, where they will be honored on field.
Eight high schools from New Jersey and New York were divided into two pools, where the winner of each poll earned the right to compete in the final championship game. All eight teams were invited to participate free of charge
The tournament's eight team field consisted of:
- Bayside High School
- Elizabeth High School
- Lafayette High School
- Notre Dame Academy
- Tottenville High School
- South Bronx High School
- St. Joes by the Sea
- Susan E. Wagner High School
