In the first season under GM Darren Mougey and HC Aaron Glenn, the Jets (3-14) fell short of their goals. The team struggled to play complementary football, and several position groups were battered by injuries.

Mougey and Glenn, however, addressed several roster needs throughout the season, and newcomers stepped up late. Ahead of Week 18, the roster included 16 players that were not with the team prior to Aug. 19, and 11 of those players were acquired after Week 1. There were also 10 players on the active roster who were originally signed to the practice squad.

Here's a look at the snap count and how playing time was distributed during the 2025 season.

O-Line Consistency
For the first time since 2012, the Jets started the same 5 offensive linemen in every game this season. C Josh Myers played 100 percent of offensive snaps (1,048), while rookie RT Armand Membou and Joe Tippmann -- who moved to right guard ahead of Week 1 -- played all but 1 snap. Olu Fashanu played 1,040 snaps (99.24%) while John Simpson played 1,016 (96.95%).

This consistency allowed the Jets to find some success up front as the team the No. 10 ranked rushing offense (123.3 yards per game) in the league.

RB Breece Hall, who played 640 (61.07%) offensive snaps, had the most productive season of his career. Hall rushed for 1,065 yards, marking the first time in his NFL career that the fourth-year player eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark. He led the team with 6 total TDs (4 rushing, 1 receiving and 1 passing), and he finished the season with 1,415 scrimmage yards, the second-highest mark of his career.

Offensive Playmakers
Outside of the O-line, the Jets struggled to find offensive consistency this season. Three quarterbacks -- Justin Fields (501/47.81%), Tyrod Taylor (251/23.95%) and Brady Cook (296/28.24%) -- started for the Green & White. Several key contributors -- including star WR Garrett Wilson (383/36.55%) and second-year RB Braelon Allen (58/5.53%) -- sustained injuries that cost them significant playing time.

Rookie TE Mason Taylor, who finished the season on injured reserve due to a neck injury, led the offense with 654 snaps (62.4%) despite missing the final four games of the season. Taylor appeared in 13 games (11 starts) and totaled a team-leading 44 receptions. The LSU product, who was a second-round pick of the Jets last April, recorded 369 receiving yards and 1 TD during his rookie campaign.

RB Breece Hall's 640 snaps were the second most of skill position players, while Fields and TE Jeremy Ruckert (494/47.14%) followed. WR John Metchie III, who was acquired during an in-season trade with the Philadelphia Eagles, did not appear in a game until Week 10, but became a significant contributor for the Green & White. He recorded 33 receptions for 274 yards and 2 TDs and played the most snaps of any Jets' receiver -- 414 (39.50%) across 9 games (7 starts).

Evolving Defense
It was a challenging year for the Jets' defense, which began working with interim defensive coordinator Chris Harris after Steve Wilks was relieved of his duties in mid-December.

The unit finished the year ranked 25th in total yards allowed per game (355.6) and 31st in points allowed per game (29.6). The Jets especially struggled to defend the run, allowing 139.5 rushing yards per game, the fourth-most in the league.

LB Jamien Sherwood, who played the second-most defensive snaps in 2024, topped the defense in 2025. Sherwood played all but 18 snaps (1,111/98.41%) and led the team with 154 total tackles, tied for the seventh-most in the league. Sherwood added 2 sacks, 8 TFL and 8 pass defenses in 2025.

The Jets' secondary underwent significant changes throughout the season. S Andre Cisco (499/44.20%) sustained a season-ending injury against Cincinnati in Week 8, and CB Sauce Gardner was traded to the Colts a few days later. Rookie CB Azareye'h Thomas (311/27.55%) stepped up, but a concussion kept him sidelined for Week 11 before a shoulder injury in December landed him on injured reserve.

It was CB Brandon Stephens who was a steady presence in the defensive backfield, playing 1,048 snaps (92.83%), while rookie S Malachi Moore played 950 (84.15%), the third-most among defensive players. Moore, a fourth-round draft selection of the Jets in 2025, started 14 games and recorded 101 total tackles, 3 TFL, 1 FF, 1 FR and 3 pass defenses.

LB Quincy Williams (784/69.44%) appeared in 13 games (12 starts) and recorded 83 total tackles, 8 TFL and a career-high 3.5 sacks.

Special Teams
Special teams were a consistent bright spot for the Green & White in 2025. The unit finished the season leading the league in average kickoff return yards (29.9) and field-goal percentage (96.6%).

On a standout unit that produced several highlight-worthy moments, FB Andrew Beck led the team with 319 snaps (67.87%) played. Beck played just 110 offensive snaps this season, but the seventh-year veteran matched his career-high in receiving TDs (2).

Sixth-year player LB Mykal Walker, who logged the second-most special teams snaps for the Green & White (306/65.11%), led the unit with 10 ST tackles. S Isaiah Oliver (300/63.83%) and CB Qwan'tez Stiggers (288/61.28%) were also consistent contributors.
