
The Jets have signed LBMykal Walker to the active roster and elevated SDean Clark and RBAvery Williams from the practice squad for Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys. The team also waived WR Isaiah Williams.
Walker (6-3, 235), who was signed to the Jets' practice squad on Sept. 1., was elevated for the Green & White's Week 4 game against the Dolphins. He played in 74 games from 2020-24 with Atlanta (2020-22), Pittsburgh (2023) and Washington (2024) while registering 241 tackles, 7 TFL and 3 FR. Walker, 28, who most recently was with the Arizona Cardinals in training camp, appeared in 17 games last season for the Commanders and logged 344 special teams plays in addition to 77 defensive snaps. He had 21 tackles and 2 FR.
Clark (6-1, 206), who played three collegiate seasons at Kent State and two at Fresno State, was elevated for a third consecutive week. Clark appeared in 17 special teams snaps in Weeks 2 and 10 in Week 3, and he has recorded 2 tackles this season. Clark signed with the Jets as an undrafted free agent in May. During his college career, he totaled 303 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, 18 pass defenses and 5 interceptions in 58 games (42 starts). Over three preseason games with the Green & White this summer, Clark totaled 9 tackles, 1 sack, 1 INT and 2 PDs.
Avery Williams (5-9, 195) was signed to the Jets' practice squad Friday. The 2021 fifth-round selection of the Atlanta Falcons has appeared in 49 games during his pro career, primarily as a returner. He led the NFL in average yards per punt return in 2022 (16.2), and he has returned 58 punts for 630 yards throughout his career. Williams has also returned 54 kicks for 1211 yards, averaging 22.4 yards per return. He was signed by the Eagles in March before he was released by the team in August.
Isaiah Williams (5-10, 185) joined the Green & White on Sept. 10 after a stint on the Cincinnati Bengals' practice squad. He appeared in 3 games for the Jets this season, returning 2 punts for 29 yards and 3 kicks for 70 yards. The Illinois product initially signed with Detroit in 2024 as an undrafted free agent. He appeared in 8 games -- 2 with Detroit and 6 with Cincinnati -- during the 2024 season.
