Matt Forte is active, in uniform and expected to make his Jets game debut for tonight's 48th annual Jets-Giants preseason game at MetLife Stadium.

However, two players, one veteran and one rookie, who have been starting for the Green & White in their first two preseason games and at training camp practices, will not play: WR Brandon Marshall and LB Jordan Jenkins.

Getting the start for Marshall is rookie WR Robby Anderson, the offensive standout in last week's game at Washington with six catches for 131 yards and a late touchdown reception.

Starting for Jenkins at OLB will be Mike Catapano, who stepped in after Jenkins suffered an injury earlier in practice earlier this week.

C Nick Mangold, who rested for last Friday's game against the Redskins, is also expected to return for the Jets' first team, which is expected to see action into the second half.

The Jets' list of 13 players who will not play tonight:

■ WR Kenbrell Thompkins

■ WR Brandon Marshall

■ WR Kyle Williams

■ WR Devin Smith (Active / PUP)

■ CB Dexter McDougle

■ RB Romar Morris

■ S Dion Bailey

■ RB Dominique Williams

■ LB Jordan Jenkins

■ T Breno Giacomini (Active / PUP)

■ DL Jake Ceresna

■ WR Quincy Enunwa

■ DL Lawrence Thomas

Coach Todd Bowles named four captains for the game: Forté, T Ryan Clady, DT Steve McLendon and DE Jarvis Jenkins.

The Jets are in green jerseys and white pants for this game against the white-jerseyed Big Blue. It's their first game in green/white since Game 15 last regular season, when they overcame the New England Patriots in overtime, 26-20.
