TE Epps Signed to Practice Squad

The New York Jets have signed tight end Dedrick Epps to the practice squad. The announcement was made by general manager Mike Tannenbaum.

Epps (6'3", 250) was released from the Indianapolis practice squad Dec. 1 after being signed to the Colts practice squad on Oct. 6. He spent most of the 2010 season with the Miami Dolphins, where he played three games, including his NFL debut at the Jets on Dec. 12, 2010.

Epps was selected in the seventh round (235th overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft by San Diego and spent training camp with the Chargers before being signed to Miami's practice squad Sept. 14, 2010.  He totaled 49 receptions for 634 yards and six touchdowns during his college career at Miami.
