OL Robert Turner from the University of New Mexico
The New York Jets have announced the signing of OL Robert Turner and the release of OL* *Nick Smith. The announcements were made by Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum.
Turner, a 6'4", 308-pound native of Austin, Texas, started at both right tackle and right guard for the University of New Mexico. He was credited with 23 "big effort" plays, 10 cut blocks and 16 pins by the Lobos' coaching staff in 2006. Over four years, he made 45 starts.
