Nick Mangold has been deactivated for this afternoon's game at the Raiders, with Wesley Johnson set to make the start at center for the Jets.

Mangold (neck) had been listed as doubtful for the game but was holding out hope his injury would feel good enough for him to go. It didn't and so Johnson, Vanderbilt's center as a sophomore, will be making his pro debut in front of QB Ryan Fitzpatrick today, with Dakota Dozier backing him up.

As expected, S Calvin Pryor (ankle) is out, with Dion Bailey moving in as the safety starter alongside Marcus Gilchrist and making his pro starting debut, although he was in for 28 plays for Pryor at New England last week and played in the two previous games as well.

The Jets' inactives today:

■ QB Bryce Petty

■ WR Devin Smith

■ S Calvin Pryor

■ RB Bilal Powell

■ G Jarvis Harrison

■ T Ben Ijalana

■ C Nick Mangold

Head coach Todd Bowles' four captains for this game are Sheldon Richardson, Leonard Williams, Jeff Cumberland and Breno Giacomini.

The referee for Jets-Raiders today is Ed Hochuli. It's Hochuli's 20th Jets game as ref since 1993, including the 2004 playoff win at San Diego and the season-opening victories in 2009 at Houston and 2013 vs. Tampa Bay.
