Ness Signed to Play Safety

The New York Jets have signed free agent safety Nate Ness. The announcement was made by Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum.

Ness (6'1", 190) signed with Cleveland as an undrafted free agent on May 1, then was waived on July 15. In 25 games (19 starts) during two seasons at the University of Arizona, Ness totaled 107 tackles, seven interceptions for 166 yards in returns and two fumble recoveries.
