Selected quotes from the Jets' and Patriots' locker rooms at MetLife Stadium following the Jets' 24-17 loss to the Patriots this afternoon:

Head coach Todd Bowles on if he can take any positives away from the Jets' loss...
"We'll look at the film but we lost the game. We played hard but we lost the game. No moral victories."

QB Josh McCown on the Jets offense starting fast but bogging down after that...
"Obviously we broke stride there and didn't keep pace the way we'd like. We had some short-yardage situations that we have to find a way to convert and be better at that. We weren't converting and putting our defense right back out there, and you can't give Tom and those guys that many chances."

McCown on the pulse of the Jets after today's game...
"Everybody is frustrated. You take a team to the wire like that on any given Sunday and feel you had opportunities to win and you don't it's very frustrating. ... But I think the guys are still optimistic. We're sitting here at 3-3 and have a great opportunity to go down to Miami next weekend and get back on track, so we have to go do that."

S Jamal Adams on giving up two touchdown passes to TE Rob Gronkowski...
"Just gave them up. Got picked on one. The one in the red zone, Brady put it on real quick. He delayed, then got it out real quick. I lost my leverage. But on the second one, somebody picked me and he made a play."

DL Kony Ealy on what the Jets learned through adversity...
"That we can hang with anybody, we can play with anybody and we can beat anybody. I'm literally at a loss for words. It was that close. It was a couple of plays. We can definitely clean some stuff up. We're fighters and we have a real good football team."

TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins on the replay review that turned his touchdown into a touchback...
"I just have to have better ball security. It comes down to me. If I take care of the ball like I'm supposed to and don't let it move or anything like that, we don't have this discussion. I let the team down and I'm definitely going to have better ball security next time."

WR Jermaine Kearse on the replay reversal...
"I'm pretty sure everybody's going to look back and say that was a BS call. But at the end of the day you've just got to beat teams, you've got to beat them outright, especially teams like the Patriots."

CB Morris Claiborne on the replay reversal...
"I know what the call was but I don't want to speak on something I don't have an understanding of. But to my eyes, it looked like it was bobbled but it stayed in his arms and he fell down with it. I was thinking either [the TD call would've stood or] they would've called incomplete and we'd get the ball the back and get another chance to score. But what they called was the furthest thing from my mind."

Bowles on the call...
"It's not demoralizing. It's frustrating from that standpoint, but we had other plays in the game we could've made to make up for that. I'm not going to blame this game on one play."

Patriots WR Brandin Cooks on the replay reversal...
"To be honest, I didn't look to see what was going on. Once I heard what happened, it was a little shocking."

Patriots QB Tom Brady on the win making him the winningest regular-season QB in NFL history...
"I wish we would've done better, but we won, so probably a lot to learn from it. I wish we could've played a little bit better offensively. We got down early and fought back. We had a good series before the half and hung in there at the end."
