Jets Waive TE Milner

The New York Jets have waived tight end Martrez Milner. The announcement was made by Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum.

Milner (6'4", 260) was claimed by the Jets off waivers from the Giants on May 27. He entered the NFL as a fourth-round pick (133rd overall) by Atlanta in the 2007 draft and played one season with the Falcons, recording nine receptions for 50 yards in eight games (two starts).

Last season Milner was inactive for Atlanta's first two games before he was waived Sept. 16. He signed with the Giants practice squad Sept. 23 and was with the Giants until he was waived on May 21.
