The Jets have signed defensive back Tanner McCalisterand waived linebacker Jared Bartlett.
McCalister (5-11, 191) entered the NFL in 2023 as an undrafted free agent. He spent the season on the Browns' practice squad and was elevated to the active roster for three games. McCalister was then signed by Denver in 2024 and spent a portion of the season on the team's practice squad. He was elevated to the active roster for three games and was a contributor on special teams. The Broncos signed McCalister to a future contract in January, but he was later waived by the team.
McCalister played three college seasons at Oklahoma State, appearing in 41 games and starting 23. He then transferred to Ohio State for his final college season and led the team in interceptions with 3.
Bartlett (6-2, 238) signed with the Jets as an undrafted free agent in May. He played in 50 games at West Virginia before transferring to Cincinnati for his final college season, where he led the team with 69 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks.
