The Jets have signed punter Ben Turk to a reserve/future contract.
Turk (5'11", 186) was Notre Dame's punter from 2010-12 and in his career with the Fighting Irish he had 67 inside-the-20 punts to 11 touchbacks. He hasn't punted for an NFL team although he was invited to the Houston Texans' rookie minicamp in 2013.
His uncle is Matt Turk, who punted in 16 NFL seasons for six teams, including the Jets in 2002 and the Texans from 2007-11.
