
The Jets have signed DL Eric Watts to the active roster and placed DL Tyler Baron on injured reserve. The team also signed QB Adrian Martinez and TE Nick Muse to the practice squad.
Watts (6-5, 277) went undrafted in 2024 and earned a spot on the Jets roster last season. The UConn product appeared in 14 games and registered 13 tackles. In August 2025, he was waived by the Jets as part of final roster cuts and re-signed to the practice squad the next day. Watts was elevated for Week 13 and played 16 defensive snaps and 11 special teams snaps. He recorded 3 tackles in the win over Atlanta.
Baron (6-4, 258), a fifth-round draft selection of the Jets in 2025, sustained a knee injury during the first quarter of the team's Week 14 loss to the Dolphins. The Miami product has appeared in 6 games for the Green & White this season. He has played 95 defensive snaps and 35 special teams snaps, registering 9 tackles and 1 TFL.
Martinez (6-2, 220) initially signed with the Jets in July and spent the summer with the team. He appeared in all three preseason games and was waived as part of final roster cuts in August. The Nebraska/Kansas State product went undrafted in 2023 and spent the preseason with the Detroit Lions. He then went on to play with the Birmingham Stallions of the United Football League (UFL), where he earned MVP honors. Martinez signed with the 49ers practice squad in November and appeared in one game before he was released by the team on Tuesday.
Muse (6-5, 252) was a seventh-round draft selection of the Minnesota Vikings in 2022. After being signed to the team's practice squad in August 2022, he spent 3 seasons in Minnesota and appeared in 16 games. Muse, who played collegiately for William & Mary and South Carolina, had stints with the Eagles', Cardinals' and Rams' practice squads this season. He was released by Los Angeles on Tuesday.
