The Jets have signed edge Joseph Ossai.

Ossai, 25, registered 116 total tackles, 44 QBH and 14.5 sacks across four seasons -- including a career-high 5 sacks in each of the 2024 and 2025 seasons. In 2025, he played a career-high 616 defensive snaps and logged 71 snaps on special teams.

Ossai, a Texas product, was born in Nigeria and moved to the United States at age 10. In three seasons with the Longhorns, he registered 165 tackles, 30.5 TFLs and 11 sacks. He led the Big 12 with 16 TFL in 2020 and earned consensus All-America honors.
