Former Bronco Appeared in Every Snap in 2019 Without Committing a Penalty

200312 Free AgencyMCGOVERN-SIGNED

Jets GM Joe Douglas said the offensive line would be a priority this offseason and he has followed through early in free agency. After Douglas reportedly agreed to terms with former Seahawks OL George Fant and re-signed G Alex Lewis, he signed former Broncos C Connor McGovern.

The 6'4", 306-pound McGovern started 31 games for the Broncos in 2018-19. He appeared in every snap for the Broncos last season without committing a penalty, helping RB Phillip Lindsay become the first undrafted player in NFL history to begin his career with consecutive 1,000-yard seasons

The 26-year-old McGovern, a fifth-round pick out of Missouri in 2016, played right tackle, right guard and left tackle in college. After not playing his rookie season, McGovern started five games at right guard his second professional year, lined up at both right guard and center in Year 3 and became a full-time center his fourth campaign. He has appeared in 47 NFL contests and made 36 starts.
