Jets Sign QBs Andrew Peasley, Colby Suits & DB Brandon Codrington

Following the conclusion of rookie minicamp on Sunday, the Jets have signed QB Andrew Peasley, QB Colby Suits, and DB/returner Brandon Codrington from this weekend's tryout. They also, and waived QB PeeWee Jarrett, LB Tre Jenkins and DL Manny Jones.

Peasley (6-2, 218) went undrafted after he played the last two seasons for Wyoming after four years with Utah State. At Wyoming, he started 24 games and posted a 17-9 record. He completed 310-of-541 pass attempts for 3,565 yards, 30 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. While with the Aggies, he played in 19 games (2 starts) and completed 70-of-130 attempts for 830 yards, 7 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. In his final season, Peasley helped lift the Cowboys to a victory in the Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl, throwing for 168 yards.

Suits (6-4, 240) went undrafted after he spent four seasons at Louisiana Monroe before transferring to Houston Christian for his final seasons of eligibility. He started 10 games for the Huskies and threw for 1,919 yards, 13 touchdowns and 11 interceptions while completing 56% of his passes in 2023. From 2019-22, he saw limited action with Louisiana Monroe starting just 8 games and appearing in 16 total.

Codrington (5-7, 176) went undrafted after he played four years for North Carolina Central starting 41 games and logging 93 tackles, 10 pass defenses and 2 tackles for loss. He earned All-MEAC Third Team honors as a return specialist in 2022 for averaging 6.8 yards per punt return and 19.3 yards per kicking return. In 2021, he was named to the Phil Steeler FCS All-MEAC teams as a returner and defensive back. In addition, in 2023, he returned a punt 81 yards for a touchdown vs. Winston-Salem State.

Jarrett (6-2, 221) signed last week with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of West Florida. He threw for 2,989 yards, 32 touchdowns and 7 interceptions while completing 59% of his passes last season. He also ran for 372 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Jenkins (5-11, 213) signed last week with the Green & White as a UDFA out of San Jose State. He spent six seasons with the Spartans playing primarily safety for four seasons before transitioning to a more general defensive back position the last two years. Jenkins racked up 4 interceptions, 8 sacks and 199 tackles over the last four seasons.

Jones (6-4, 266), an undrafted free agent from Colorado State signed by Cardinals in 2022, first joined the Green & White's practice squad Dec. 19 and signed a reserve/future deal in January. He played four games with Arizona in '22 and totaled 6 tackles. He's also had stints with the Steelers and Patriots.
