The Jets have placed DE Muhammad Wilkerson, T Breno Giacomini, G James Carpenter, WR Devin Smith, RB Khiry Robinson and DB Kendall James on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list for the start of training camp.

A player on the Active/PUP list can do everything but practice or play in games with the team during training camp. The player still has access to trainers and medical facilities and can participate in meetings.

As soon as Active/PUP players are cleared by their team's medical staff, they are eligible to practice and play. Players can remain on Active/PUP until the NFL's final cutdown day, which this year is Sept. 3. At that time each team has to decide whether to move each player from Active/PUP to the active roster or to Reserve/PUP for the start of the season.
