Jets QB Justin Fields has been placed on Injured Reserve with a knee injury, HC Aaron Glenn told the media Tuesday, ending his 2025 season.
"We tried to see how we could get this to work for [Fields]," Glenn said about the injury. "But it wasn't getting as better as we'd like it. So we wanna make sure that we focus on that to make sure we get him better."
Fields started 9 games for the Green & White this season and threw for 1,269 yards, 7 touchdowns, 1 interception and added 4 rushing scores.
Fields was replaced in Week 12 by QB Tyrod Taylor. Fields served as Taylor's backup for 1 game before being sidelined due to a knee injury in Weeks 13-15. He was listed as the team's emergency third QB in Week 16 but ultimately inactive.
