Saints Director of Pro Scouting Has Spent Last 16 Years in NOLA

The New York Jets have completed an interview with Terry Fontenot for their general manager position.

Fontenot has spent 16 years with the Saints, the last six as the director of pro scouting. According to the Saints website, "His responsibilities in managing the pro personnel department include recommending player acquisitions by evaluating players from all professional leagues, including the Saints roster, monitoring the waiver wire and supervising the advance scouting of upcoming opponents."

The 38-year-old has worked closely with general manager Mickey Loomis, assistant GM/college scouting director Jeff Ireland and head coach Sean Payton in building a Saints roster that has paced the NFC South for the last two years.
