The Jets have activated LB Quincy Williams from injured reserve and signed WR Brandon Smith to the active roster. The Green & White also placed WR Josh Reynolds and LB Cam Jones on injured reserve, and the team elevated Brady Cook and DL Payton Page from the practice squad to the active roster for Sunday's game against the Bengals.
Williams (5-11, 230) returned to practice earlier this week after sustaining a shoulder injury during the second quarter of the Jets' Week 3, 29-27 loss to Tampa Bay. The five-year member of the Jets has started 3 games for the Green & White this season, playing every defensive snap in Weeks 1 and 2. Williams has totaled 15 tackles, 3 quarterback hits, 2 TFLs and 1.5 sacks in 2025.
Smith (6-1, 218) led the Jets with 10 catches during the 2025 preseason for 113 yards. He has spent the last two seasons on the Green & White's practice squad, and he was elevated to the active roster for Week 6 vs. the Broncos.
Reynolds (6-3, 192) has appeared in 5 games and started 3 for the Green & White this season. The nine-year veteran has recorded 11 receptions for 101 yards in 2025, and he led the Jets in receiving yards (25) in Week 6. He did not participate in practice on Friday due to a hip injury and was ruled out of Sunday's game.
Jones (6-2, 227) sustained a hip injury in the Jets' Week 6 loss to the Broncos, and he missed the team's Week 7 contest against the Panthers. A third-year player, Jones was claimed off waivers by the Jets after initial 53-man rosters were finalized in August. The Indiana product, who signed with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in 2023 and spent two years in Kansas City, appeared in the first 6 games for the Green & White this season. He played 105 snaps on special teams and 3 on defense.
Cook (6-2, 215), a rookie, will be elevated to the active roster for the second time. One of 15 UDFAs to sign with the Jets on May 9, Cook completed 65.8% (25-of-38) of his passes in the preseason for 235 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT. He was added to the practice squad on Aug. 27. Cook, who went 26-12 as a starter at Missouri from 2022-24, threw for 8,591 yards, 46 TDs and 15 INTs while completing 64.6% of his passes. The St. Louis native also had a career 1,209 rushing yards. A team captain in 2024, he's the only player in Missouri football history with a pass, run and catch of at least 75 yards.
Page (6-4, 300) signed with the Jets as an undrafted free agent in May. The Clemson product was a one-year starter and team captain for the Tigers, totaling 32 tackles, 2.5 TFLs, 2 pass defenses and an INT in the 2024 season. Page had 3 tackles and 1 sack in the preseason for the Green & White, and he was added to the Jets' practice squad on Aug. 27.
