The New York Jets have waived defensive tackle/long snapper Anthony Harris. The announcement was made by Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum.

Harris (6'3", 287) signed with the Jets on May 4. He originally signed with the Carolina Panthers before the 2008 season but was waived before training camp. He last played two games earlier this year for the Milwaukee Iron in arenafootball2 and before that for 3½ seasons for the Rock River Raptors of the Continental Indoor Football League.
