The New York Jets announced they have signed defensive lineman Vaka Manupuna to the practice squad. The announcement was made by Jets' General Manager Mike Tannenbaum.
Manupuna was originally signed as an undrafted free agent in May by the Washington Redskins and was waived from the Redskins' practice squad October 3. The 6-0, 300 lb. native of Honolulu, Hawaii played four years at Colorado University, earning honorable mention All-Big 12 honors two consecutive years.
