CB McDougle Joins Roster, TE Davis Waived/Injured

With CB Marcus Williams Out with an Ankle Injury, the Jets Add Some Depth in the Defensive Backfield

The Jets announced today that they have promoted CB Dexter McDougle from the practice squad and waived / injured TE Kellen Davis. The team also signed OLB Victor Ochi to its practice squad.

McDougle, a Maryland product who was the Jets' third-round selection in the 2014 draft, appeared in 14 games last season with the Green & White.

In his second season with the Jets, Davis was primarily used as an inline blocker and appeared in the team's first eight games this season. The 6'7", 265-pound Davis played in all 16 games last season as the club set a franchise record for total yards (5,925) and finished 10th in rushing.

Waived on Nov. 5, Ochi originally signed to the Jets practice squad on Sep. 12 and was promoted to the active roster on Oct. 22.  The Stony Brook alum saw action in Weeks 7 and 8, playing both defense and special teams.
