In its first season under coordinator Chris Banjo, the Jets special teams were rated as the fourth-best unit in the NFL (90.6) by Pro Football Focus, headlined by WR Isaiah Williams (90.9) and RB Kene Nwangwu (90.6) as PFF's No. 1 and No. 2 highest returner grades (min. 20% snaps).
The duo combined for 3 return touchdowns -- a kickoff and 2 punts -- and the Jets led the NFL in total return yards (2,666) as a team.
In addition, first-year starting punter Austin McNamara (90.3) was the second-highest graded punter by PFF. McNamara, the special teams player of the month for November, landed 32 punts inside the 20-yard-line, the second most in the NFL.
McNamara was named to PFF's second team All-Pro while Nwangwu and Williams were named to the first team.
Here are other Jets players who received high grades from PFF.
No Rookie Wall for Armand Membou
Rookie RT Armand Membou, the No. 7 overall selection in last April's NFL Draft, started every game for the Green & White during his rookie season and was the second-highest rated rookie offensive lineman (min. 50% of snaps) by PFF (73.3).
Membou, out of Missouri, posted his best single-week grade in Week 1 (89.0) against the Steelers. He matched up with All-Pro edge defender T.J. Watt during the season-opener and did not surrender a single sack or pressure, according to PFF.
Membou finished the regular season as one of just 10 tackles leaguewide to play 1,000-plus snaps and earn a 70.0-plus PFF overall grade. He was one of only two rookies to do so.
"The 21-year-old is poised to pair with Olu Fashanu to propel the Jets' line into the next era with a new quarterback in 2026 and beyond," PFF's Ben Cooper wrote.
Jowon Briggs Brings the Pressure
DL Jowon Briggs was traded from the Browns to the Jets in August and since his arrival has not only been one of the team's best pass rushers, but one of the league's best. In 2025, Briggs received a 85.6 pass rush grade, the fourth best among interior defensive linemen last season.
Briggs played in all 17 games and finished the season with a career-high 4 sacks, 8 tackles for loss and 10 QB hits. In addition, Briggs had higher tackle, run defense and pass coverage grades than the 3 IDL with better pass rush grades.
Breece Lightning
Jets RB Breece Hall was one of only 10 running backs to play more than 290 snaps this season and earned an 83.5 offensive grade from PFF, No. 8 among all tailbacks.
Hall played in 16 games, rushed for a career-high 1,065 yards and totaled 1,415 scrimmage yards, second most in a single-season in his career. He scored 5 times, 4 times on the ground and once receiving. Additionally, he threw a TD pass to rookie TE Mason Taylor in Week 8.
Hall was effective with the ball in his hands, but also did the dirty work for the Green & White. Hall earned a 68.2 pass block grade, the best grade among running backs with more than 270 snaps played.
"Hall's combination of rushing ability and receiving skills give him a high ceiling as a player, which he reached in 2025," PFF's Nathan Jahnke wrote.
