Taste of NFL Benefit

The New York Jets have quite the fan following.  We witnessed it again this past weekend when the Green & White faithful took over Radio City Music Hall for the NFL Draft and Jets fans celebrated Saturday at Hard Rock Café in Times Square. But there's even better news around the corner as the Jets Taste of the NFL will be held next Thursday, May 11th at Bridgewaters at South Street Seaport.

One may think of the Jets Taste of the NFL as an elegant tailgate attended by your favorite Jets players.  At Bridgewaters you'll be able to sample cuisine from an elite group of the region's top restaurants and chefs, including Nobu, Tao, New Jersey's Madison's Bar & Grill in Hoboken, and Doris and Ed's in Highlands.  But the best part of it all is the Jets Taste of the NFL benefits ShopRite Partners in Caring Fund*, dedicated to fighting hunger throughout the New York metropolitan area.

"We have one of the most loyal fanbases in all of sports and we're coming off an exciting weekend for the franchise," said Lee Stacey, the club's Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing.  "The Taste of the NFL is a tremendous event for both the fans and the players, and the money we raise benefits ShopRite Partners in Caring Fund.  We look forward to continue our momentum off the field while Coach Mangini and GM Mike Tannenbaum lead us into a new era of Jets football."

The Jets have already received more than dozen number of player confirmations for next Thursday, and you have an opportunity to buy tickets now.  Tickets for the Taste of the NFL are $250 for general admission.  VIP Tickets are sold out.

Participating restaurants: Ruby Foos Uptown, NOBU, Olives, Blue Smoke, Tavern on Jane, Tavern on Dean, The Biltmore Room, Almond Resorts - Barbados, Heartbeat, Icon, English Is Italian, Doris & Ed's in NJ, Madison's Bar & Grill in NJ, TAO, Michael Jordan's Steakhouse, Henry's End, ShopRite Dessert Table, Dinosaur BBQ.  All proceeds will benefit ShopRite Partners in Caring's fight against hunger.
