Quarterback Sam Darnold is a finalist for this week's NFL FedEx Air Player of the Week award following his performance in the Jets' 34-3 win over the Oakland Raiders.
The second-year signal-caller completed 69% of his passes (20-for-29) for 315 yards and two touchdowns in addition to rushing touchdown for for a 127.8 passer rating. This is Darnold's second nomination this season (Week 6 vs. DAL).
The 22-year-old is competing with Ravens QB Lamar Jackson and Browns QB Baker Mayfield, who were all selected in the first round of the 2018 draft.
