The Jets have made three practice squad transactions, signing RB Joel Bouagnon and LB Jonathan Celestin and releasing S Tyvis Powell.

Bouagnon (6'2", 228) signed last spring as an undrafted free agent with Chicago but was waived/injured by the Bears in August 2017. He was with Green Bay this year until he was a final cut in September, then spent a month on the Packers' practice squad and three days on the Lions' P-squad in October.

In four seasons at Northern Illinois, Bouagnon was a productive, versatile runner with 2,912 yards on 600 carries, 368 yards on 44 receptions, and 34 total touchdowns. In the NFL preseason this summer, he led the Packers with 95 yards and scored a touchdown on 34 carries and added 36 yards on six catches.

Celestin (6'1", 232), after four active seasons on the University of Minnesota defense, was signed as an undrafted free agent by Atlanta this offseason and led the Falcons with 21 tackles while adding 1.5 sacks and three QB hits in the preseason. He was a final cut and then traveled to Los Angeles, where he spent two weeks on the Chargers' practice squad before being released last month.

Powell, the former Ohio State DB who made five previous stops with four NFL teams, was signed to the Jets' practice squad a week ago.
