OL Tadisch Signed; Basped, Kia Waived

The New York Jets have signed offensive lineman Adam Tadisch and waived linebacker Kevin Basped and tackle Aaron Kia. The announcement was made by general manager Mike Tannenbaum.

Tadisch (6'6", 326) appeared in 10 games as a guard and tight end during the 2010 AFL season for the Cleveland Gladiators, gaining 48 yards and one touchdown on five receptions. He played in 39 games for North Dakota State, starting all 22 games over his junior and senior seasons.

Basped (6'4", 254) was signed as an undrafted free agent on April 30. He played three seasons as a defensive end at Nevada and recorded 23.5 sacks. As a senior, he earned Western Athletic Conference second-team honors after he registered 9.5 sacks and 12.5 tackles for loss.

Kia (6'5", 290) was signed as an undrafted free agent on May 18. He played four years for Hawaii and started 24 of 42 games after redshirting in 2005.
