The Jets announced Wednesday they have parted ways with offensive coordinator John Morton.

"We appreciate John's contributions and wish him the best moving forward," said head coach Todd Bowles.

Morton, hired by Bowles on Jan. 31, 2017, came to the Jets after a two-year stint as the Saints WR coach. Morton, who also was a Saints offensive assistant/passing game coordinator for Sean Payton in 2006, served as the San Francisco 49ers WR coach from 2011-14 and held a number of positions on the Raiders staff from 1998-2004.
