Jets Waive LB Kenwin Cummings

The New York Jets have waived linebacker Kenwin Cummings. The announcement was made by general manager Mike Tannenbaum.

Cummings (6'3", 230) initially joined the Jets as an undrafted free agent in 2008 and was inactive for the season opener before being signed to their practice squad. After spending the first nine weeks of the 2009 season on the Jets practice squad, he was then added to the 53-man roster on Nov. 16 and made his NFL debut on special teams in the Jets' AFC Wild Card Game at Cincinnati. He saw action on special teams in three games this season.
