The New York Jets have waived defensive back Ahmad Carroll. The announcement was made by general manager Mike Tannenbaum.

Carroll (5'10", 190) originally signed with the Jets as a free agent on July 22, 2008.  He played in 22 games for the Green & White and recorded 30 special teams tackles.

Originally the 25th overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft by Green Bay, the Arkansas alum has appeared in 57 career games for the Packers, Jaguars and Jets, registering three sacks and three interceptions.
