The Jets signed WR Jeremy Kerley and waived FB Julian Howsare.

Kerley started 13 games for the 49ers in 2016 and led the team with both 667 receiving yards and 64 receptions (three touchdowns). Originally the Jets fifth-round pick out of TCU in 2011, the seven-year veteran spent his first five seasons with the Green & White. The 5'9", 188-pounder has amassed a total of 246 career catches for 2,892 yards and 12 touchdowns. Additionally, Kerley could be in the mix for the return role. He's averaged 9.1 yards per punt return on 155 attempts including one touchdown.

Howsare has spent his a large portion of his professional career between the Jets' practice squad and active roster. Originally an undrafted free agent in 2015, the Clarion product transitioned from DE to FB and appeared in two games for the Jets last season.
