The Jets announced they have promoted LB Freddie Bishop from the practice squad and waived/injured S Antonio Allen.

The 6'4", 265-pound Bishop played for the Calgary Stampeders for two seasons, racking up an 11-sack regular season in 2015. He has spent the entirety of the 2016 season on the practice squad after being with the team throughout training camp.

The Western Michigan product racked up 15 sacks and 31.5 TFL before joining the Lions' practice squad as an UDFA in 2013.

Allen, a South Carolina product, rejoined the Jets Sep. 8 after spending training camp with the Texans. Allen was primarily a special teams performer with the Jets and suffered a concussion in Week 13 against the Colts.
