The Jets have signed running back Lawrance Toafili and waived kicker Caden Davis.
Toafili (5-11, 194) spent the last five seasons at Florida State and appeared in 55 games. He became just the fifth player in FSU history to score both a receiving and rushing touchdown of at least 70 yards. During the 2024 season, he led the Seminoles with 109 rushes for 456 yards and 3 touchdowns. Toafili participated in Jets' rookie minicamp as a tryout player in May.
Davis (6-2, 210) signed with the Green & White as an undrafted free agent in May. Davis scored 228 points at Ole Miss, where he converted on 80.8% of his field goal attempts and 98.1% of his PATs. Davis began his collegiate career at Texas A&M where he handled kickoff duties in 33 games.
