A trio of new Jets pass catchers, WR ArDarius Stewart, WR Chad Hansen and TE Jordan Leggett, got their first taste of life in the NFL at this weekend's rookie minicamp.

"It's definitely tough," Hansen said. "It's an extensive playbook, so that's something all of us have to work on and something that has been challenging. I think by the end of this, it should be second nature."

The fourth-round pick went on to say the most difficult part of offensive coordinator John Morton's system is the intricacies. The 6'2", 202-pound Hansen is confident in his deep threat ability, similarly to his roommate, the 5'11", 204-pound Stewart.

"I'm just one of those physical guys," Stewart said. "I've been like that since little league. I feel like I can bring that to the table and bring the top off a defense. I can do a lot of things to help this team."

Both Hansen (Cal) and Stewart (Alabama) led their schools in receiving yards in 2016 with 1,249 and 864, respectively, and both averaged over 13 yards per reception.

Despite the enigma that is Morton's scheme, the tight end is expected to have heavy involvement.

"The way Coach Morton used his tight end with the Saints, it's definitely going to be a position that's going to kind of be the go-to person," Leggett said. "I'm definitely excited. I'm excited for my chance and just to be here. Hopefully I'll just go out there, fight to make the team and play on Sundays."

A versatile tight end at Clemson, the 6'5", 258-pounder lined up in-line, out wide and in the slot. Leggett said he was predominantly on the line in rookie minicamp and is adding special teams to his repertoire.

"As of right now, I'm just trying to make the team and be out there on special teams," he said. "I'm going to do my best and put my best foot forward. Whatever they ask me to do, I'm going to do it."
