The Jets have re-signed veteran LB Bruce Carter.

The 29-year-old Carter, who signed with the Green & White on April 4, 2016, played in 13 games last season and finished with 13 defensive tackles (10 solos). Carter also tied for fourth on the club with five special teams stops.

Entering his seventh pro season, Carter was originally a second-round pick of the Cowboys in the 2011 NFL Draft. The 6'2", 240-pounder, a North Carolina product who played in Dallas from 2011-14 and then in Tampa in 2015, has made 36 career starts and his totals include 322 tackles, five sacks and five interceptions.
