The Jets have re-signed defensive lineman Henry Anderson.

Anderson, who was acquired from the Colts in exchange for a seventh-round pick (No. 235 overall) during last year's draft, tied for the team lead with seven sacks in 2018. The 6'6", 301-pounder had a career year in green and white as he also tallied 45 tackles including seven stops for loss, six pass defenses and 21 quarterback hits, which tied for second on the team.

Anderson, also known as "Goose", enjoyed more of a situational pass rushing role with the Jets compared to his three seasons with the Colts.

"It's kind of giving me a little more freedom to when I'm in there," he said during the season. "I can kind of fire off the ball, get up field and try to wreak havoc in the backfield."

For his career, the fifth-year veteran has totaled 100 tackles, 16 stops for loss and 10 sacks in 45 games (22 starts).
