Jets Sign 14 Players to Practice Squad

QB Brady Cook, WRs Jamaal Pritchett and Quentin Skinner Among Returning Group Who Participated in Training Camp with the Green & White

The Jets began to fill their practice squad Wednesday, signing 13 players. They will be able to sign 17 since OL Leander Wiegand meets the international pathway guidelines.

All of the players spent the summer with the Green & White, including QB Brady Cook, rookie WRs Jamaal Pritchett and Quentin Skinner, and K Harrison Mevis.

S Dean Clark
Over three summer games, Clark (6-1, 206) totaled 9 tackles, 1 sack, 1 INT and 2 PDs. The rookie, who played at Kent State and Fresno State, registered 203 tackles, 18 PDs and 5 INTs in 58 college games.

DB Jordan Clark
Clark (5-9, 184), who signed as an undrafted free agent in May, had 3 tackles in preseason play. Over his six-year collegiate career at Arizona State and Notre Dame, Clark totaled 176 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, 26 pass defenses and 4 interceptions in 57 games (31 starts).

QB Brady Cook
One of 15 UDFAs to sign with the Jets on May 9, Cook (6-2, 215) completed 65.8% (25 -of- 38) of his passes in the preseason for 235 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT. Cook, who went 26-12 as a starter at Missouri from 2022-24, threw for 8,591 yards, 46 touchdowns and 15 interceptions while completing 64.6% of his passes. The St. Louis native also has a career 1,209 rushing yards. A team captain in 2024, he's the only player in Missouri football history with a pass, run and catch of at least 75 yards.

WR Tyler Johnson
Johnson (6-1, 208) was signed by the Jets as an unrestricted free agent in March. The Minnesota product was originally selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. A final cut by Tampa Bay in August 2022, he signed with Houston for the '22 season, was waived in October and returned to the Bucs via their practice squad. After a brief offseason stop with Las Vegas, he signed with the Los Angeles Rams for 2023-24. Johnson has played in 49 NFL games and has 76 receptions for 828 yards (10.9 yards/catch) and 4 touchdowns across five seasons. He recorded 2 receptions for 27 yards in this summer's preseason contest vs. the Packers.

OL Kohl Levao
Levao (6-6, 350), who played in college at Hawaii, was signed by the Jets in June 2024, waived in August and re-signed to the practice squad. He was signed to a Reserve/Futures contract this past January. After he was not selected in the 2022 NFL Draft, Levao spent time playing indoors and then in the UFL for San Antonio in 2024, playing in all 12 games and making the All-UFL team. In the 2025 preseason he saw significant time on the offensive line for the Jets, taking 60 snaps (86%) against Green Bay, 32 snaps (44%) against the Giants and 69 snaps (100%) last week against the Eagles.

K Harrison Mevis
After converting on 95.2% of his field-goal attempts (20 -of -21) for the UFL's Birmingham Stallions, Mevis (5-11, 243) signed with the Jets on June 18. He was 3 -of -4 in preseason play with his only miss coming from 55 yards out against the Eagles.

DT Payton Page
Page (6-4, 300) had 3 tackles and 1 sack in the preseason. A one-year starter and a team captain for Clemson, Page totaled 32 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, 2 pass defenses and an interception in the 2024 season.

WR Jamaal Pritchett
Pritchett, who signed as an undrafted free agent in May, played one college season at Tuskegee and three at South Alabama. He was a first-team All-Sun Belt performer in 2024 and led the conference with 1,126 receiving yards. Pritchett led the Jets with 4 receptions for 54 yards in the team's preseason finale against the Eagles, and he finished preseason play with 7 total receptions for 70 yards.

LB Jackson Sirmon
This was the second consecutive summer Sirmon (6-2, 240) spent with the Jets. He had 3 tackles (2 on special teams) and 2 PDs in exhibition action. Sirmon (6-2, 232), who initially signed with the Green & White as an undrafted free agent out of Cal in May 2024 and took 78 snaps last preseason. He played in 51 games (34 starts) over his six college seasons – four at Washington and two at Cal.

WR Quentin Skinner
The UDFA from Kansas led the Jets with 114 receiving yards in summer action, registering 8 catches (14.3 per). Skinner (6-5, 195) averaged a career-high 22 yards a reception last season for the Jayhawks. Over 38 games at KU from 2022-24, he had 80 receptions for 1,584 yards (19.8 per) and 11 TDs.

LB Boog Smith
Smith, who signed with the Jets on May 9, had 4 tackles and 1 PD in the preseason. After leading the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) with 92 tackles (11 TFL) and adding 5 sacks, Smith posted a 4.58 40-yard time and South Carolina State's pro day. He also had 25 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press.

WR Brandon Smith
Smith was originally signed by the Jets a year ago, and he led the team with 120 receiving yards on 5 catches during the 2024 preseason before he was cut and joined the practice squad. Smith was elevated to the active roster for a Week 15 contest against the Jaguars, and he signed a reserve/future contract with the Jets in January. Smith previously played with the D.C. Defenders of the UFL where he had 18 catches, 208 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Iowa product also spent time on the Cowboys' and Cardinals' rosters, but he did not appear in any regular season games.

DL Eric Watts
Watts (6-5, 277) finished with 3 tackles and 1 TFL this preseason. After tallying 9.5 sacks, 23 tackles for loss and 152 total tackles at UConn, Watts earned a spot on the Jets 2024-25 roster. Last season, he had 13 tackles in 14 appearances.

OL Leander Wiegand
Signing with the Jets in May, Wiegand (6-5, 291) played one season at Central Florida before returning to Germany in 2022 where he lined up for the Cologne Centurions. He then played offensive line for the Rhein Fire, earning first-team All-European League Football (ELF) honors on a championship team. At his pro day, Wiegand, who owns a wingspan of 80 inches, showcased his strength with 38 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press.
