The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences of New York nominated the Jets' internal content group – One Jets Drive Entertainment – for 20 Emmys, the most nominations of any professional sports team in New York.
The Jets were nominated in 8 different categories — promotion - sports promotion (single spot), branded content - sports, sports documentary, sports interview / discussion (series), sports program - post-produced or edited (series), military - short or long form content, sports excellence and community service.
Eight individuals were also nominated five categories — director - sports - short or long form content, editor: sports, editor: sports - long form content (longer than 10 minutes), audio - live / post production and performer / narrator.
Over the past seven years, the Jets have garnered 140 Emmy nominations, more than any professional sports team in New York. The third NY Sports Emmy Awards ceremony will take place Sept. 16 at the New York Marriott Marquis. Click here to see the full list of Emmy Award Nominations.
