The Jets closed out their practice squad by signing OLB Freddie Bishop and RB-KR Marcus Murphy.
Last season, Bishop split time between the Jets practice squad and active roster. The 6’3”, 255-pounder appeared in four games (three starts) in 2016 and took a handful of first-team reps throughout the summer.
Murphy joined the Green & White just before training camp and impressed as a returner. In the preseason, the 5’9”, 195-pounder ranked fourth in the NFL in kick return average with 22.8 yards per return.
