The New York Jets announced today that one fan will have the opportunity to announce the team's fourth-round selection at the 2011 NFL Draft at Radio City Music Hall. The winner will announce the Jets draft pick (No. 126 overall) on Saturday, April 30. The sweepstakes will begin Thursday, April 7, on ***newyorkjets.com***.
The Jets also announced that they will host their annual draft party for the second consecutive year at New Meadowlands Stadium on Thursday, April 28. Admission is free and the party is open to the public. Green & White fans can watch the draft from seats in the lower level and enjoy appearances by Jets alumni and cheerleaders. Also, fans will have the opportunity to go on the field, where Jets Fest will be set up for kids and there will be plenty of photo opportunities for all.
The party, presented by the New York Daily News, Pepsi Max, Toyota and Verizon, begins at 7:30 p.m. and will be held on the east side of the stadium. Parking lots will open at 6 p.m., 1½ hours prior to the event. Fans will receive an exclusive 2011 Jets Draft Party T-shirt upon arrival that evening while supplies last. Jets Shop merchandise stands will be filled with all the latest team gear, including the Jets 2011 Draft Cap.
Fans can visit the team's Facebook page and enter to win two tickets to the VIP draft party, which will be held the same night at the stadium. This promotion kicks off the How Would You Like To series where fans who like the team on Facebook will have the opportunity to win unique prizes and experiences throughout the year.
