Jets Add WR Davis, Release WR Wilson

The New York Jets have claimed free agent wide receiver Marcus Davis off waivers from the New York Giants and have released wide receiver Antavious Wilson.

Davis (6'4", 232 / Virginia Tech / Virginia Beach, VA) entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Giants on May 10 before he was released following rookie minicamp on Sunday. In four seasons at Virginia Tech, he played in 53 games and caught 105 passes for 1,827 yards and 13 touchdowns. In 2012 Davis led the Hokies with 51 catches for 953 yards and five touchdowns.

Wilson (6'1", 196 / Marshall / Pahokee, FL) joined the Jets as an undrafted free agent on May 10 after finishing his collegiate career at Marshall. In 2012 he logged 69 receptions for 741 yards and nine touchdowns.
