The Jets announced today that they have claimed RB Knile Davis off of waivers from Green Bay and waived RB Troymaine Pope.

A third round-pick of the Chiefs in 2013, the 5'10", 227-pound Davis has averaged 4.6 yards a carry in his career and he has added 11 touchdowns on the ground. He appeared in four games with the Chiefs this season and then was traded to the Packers on Oct. 18.  Davis played two games with the Packers and had seven touches.

Pope arrived via waivers from the Seahawks on Sep. 4.  The 5'7", 205-pound Jacksonville State product, who signed with Seattle as an undrafted free agent, ran for 1,757 yards and 19 TDs in leading the Gamecocks to the FCS Championship Game in January.
