Anderson Makes His Case: An undrafted free agent from Temple, Robby Anderson should have an interesting next 48 hours. Anderson, who entered the Jets' final preseason game leading the NFL in receiving yards, got the visitors on the board with a 44-yard TD in the first quarter. Back in comfortable surroundings at Lincoln Financial Field, Anderson made a move at the line to beat single coverage and Bryce Petty hit the former Owl in stride.

Jones Brings the Juice: Known as a run stuffer at Michigan State, first-year LB Taiwan Jones made his presence felt in coverage. He first helped take points off the board, tipping a Chase Daniel pass in the first quarter that was intercepted by rookie CB Juston Burris. Then in the second quarter, Jones benefited from an excellent Claude Pelon rush as the rookie DL flattened Daniel.  Jones intercepted the errant ball in plus-territory, but the visitors were unable to convert with points.

Stats Don't Tell the Story : The Jets got former Saint RB Khiry Robinson his first preseason action of the summer. Robinson, who signed with the Green & White in March and missed all of OTAs and minicamp while rehabbing, only gained 25 yards on his first 13 carries. But Robinson, displaying good lateral quickness and decisiveness, also had a 15-yard reception along with 7-yard and 6-yard runs in the opening quarter.

Edwards' Up & Down Evening: Rookie P Lachlan Edwards punted the ball awfully well, averaging 52.2 yards on his first six punts including a majestic 60-yarder with a touch of backspin that pinned the Eagles at their own 3. But Edwards was victimized by his coverage units when Paul Turner put the Eagles on top with a 71-yard punt return.

Petty Injures Shoulder: After the scoring strike to Anderson, Petty held his right arm as he moved to huddle-up with his teammates. He stayed on the field for the two-point conversion attempt, firing incomplete to WR Charone Peake. Then Petty, who was 4 of 6 for 87 yards in the opening quarter, went to the locker room for evaluation. Rookie Christian Hackenberg struggled with his accuracy in relief and his third quarter INT was returned 90 yards for a score by Philly S Ed Reynolds.
