Darrelle Revis makes the tackle against Nebraska

Transcript of an interview with first-round draft choice Darrelle Revis after Thursday's OTA practice:

On how today went ...

There are a lot of veterans out here that know what they are doing. As rookies we are just trying to come out here and learn the playbook as fast as we can.

On how the coaching staff has been ...

Great. They try to teach us everything and put us in the best situations to win.

On running a lap ...

That is just something that Coach Mangini does when you drop a punt. So you've got to run it. You've got to catch the ball. That's the outcome. You just have to catch it and you won't have to run a lap.

On why he was catching with other footballs in his hands ...

That's practice right there, so when I have to catch one it won't be as hard. A lot of things could happen. That's why we practice.

On learning the coverages ...

It's great with the different coverages we run and everything. Today we ran a little bit of dime and nickel. I never played inside so I am just trying to learn it the best I can and compete.

On whom he talks with to correct mistakes ....

First the coaches and then the veteran secondary guys. They tell me to keep my head up and keep on learning the schemes and what we do.

On how he feels after today ...

Right now I am just learning. I am a young guy and I am just trying to get better as I go.

On his relationship with Kerry Rhodes ...

He keeps on top of me, all the veterans have — Erik Coleman, Andre Dyson, all of those guys. They have taken me under their wing and are helping me.
