Changing of the Guard: Teofilo In, Davis Out

The New York Jets have signed guard Chet Teofilo and waived guard Marlon Davis. The announcement was made by general manager Mike Tannenbaum.

Teofilo (6'3", 329) signed as an undrafted free agent with the Dallas Cowboys on April 24 and was waived on June 22. In two seasons at the University of California, he made eight starts in 16 games. Teofilo moved to the offensive line as a sophomore after spending his red-shirt freshman year as a defensive lineman.

Davis (6'2", 309) signed with the Jets as a free agent on May 13. Davis originally signed with the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent on May 1, 2009, before being waived Sept. 1. He played four years for the University of Alabama and started 26 of 38 games.
