10th Jets Taste of the NFL Set for Nov. 4

[**

The New York Jets Taste of the NFL**](http://www.newyorkjets.com/fanzone/taste.html) has a new place on the calendar and a new location in Manhattan at which players and coaches will team up with Green & White fans to fight hunger in our community.

"The Taste," usually held in the offseason, this year will be staged Monday, Nov. 4, the day after the game at MetLife Stadium against the New Orleans Saints and the first day of the Jets' bye week.

And for the first time in the event's 10th year, the venue will be 82Mercer, a dazzling event space spread over two floors in the heart of SOHO. It's a 50,000-square-foot former manufacturing facility over two floors that retains some of its original 19th Century details, including cast-iron columns, 14-foot ceilings, hardwood floors and brick archways.

Some elements of the Taste will remain the same as always, such as the presence of Jets center Nick Mangold as one of the hosts. As Mangold said last year in his fifth turn as the event's host, "This is a great opportunity to spend time with the fans and it all goes to a good cause. It's a neat event. I'm a big supporter and I will be in the future."

This time around, Mangold will be joined as co-host by his outstanding partner from the other side of the line of scrimmage, defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson. And a number of Nick's and Mo's teammates are also scheduled to appear, including Nick Bellore, Willie Colon, Jeff Cumberland, Demario Davis, Leger Douzable, Nick Folk, Stephen Hill, Austin Howard, Jeremy Kerley, Calvin Pace, Bilal Powell, Geno Smith and Kyle Wilson.

One more new attraction for the VIP Hour is a fashion show featuring players "on the runway" modeling looks from Saks Fifth Avenue.

As always, the feature of the night will be the food. Restaurants such as Dos Cominos, Lavo, Nobu, Tao and Wildwood BBQ are confirmed among the 20 restaurants that will each serve a signature dish to the guests. The Cake Boss will provide the desserts to top off the culinary portion of the night.

So make your plans now to attend the gala at 82Mercer. Tickets for the VIP Hour, from 6-7 p.m., are $425 and tickets for general admission, from 7-9 p.m., are $275. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit* ***newyorkjets.com/taste**.
