After a breakout season in which he produced double-digit sacks for the first time, Jets edge Will McDonald IV is headed back to a single digit in 2025. While McDonald will look to build on his year sack total of 10.5, the explosive third-year rusher has elected to wear the same No. 9 he did at Iowa State.
In addition, the receiving pair of Xavier Gipson and Malachi Corley are making the moves to single digits as well. After wearing No. 82 at Stephen F. Austin and his first two pro seasons, Xavier Gipson will transition to No. 3. Second-year wideout Malachi Corley, who sported No. 11 at Western Kentucky and No. 17 and then No. 14 (following the Davante Adams acquisition) as a Green & White rookie, has grabbed No. 6.
The Jets have five additional number changes – P Austin McNamara (No. 14), S Jarius Monroe (No. 25), K Caden Davis (No. 43) P Kai Kroeger (No. 46) and OL Kohl Levao (No. 60).
