Jets-Ravens Locker Room Sound Bites

Kudos for the Green & White Defense, Enunwa's Touchdown, Quotes from Fitzpatrick & Smith

Selected quotes from the Jets' and Ravens' locker rooms at MetLife Stadium following the Jets' 24-16 victory that ended their losing streak at four games and extended Baltimore's losing streak to four:

**

Jets LB David Harris' reaction when he heard his defense allowed a franchise-low 6 rushing yards to the Ravens...**"Oh, wow, I knew it was low but I didn't know it was that low. It speaks a lot about the guys up front, getting off blocks and just taking it personal. We knew Baltimore was a good, physical team, they like to run the ball and limit turnovers, so our front did a heck of a job."

QB Ryan Fitzpatrick on suddenly entering the game for Geno Smith and leading a touchdown drive..."I got into the huddle and we almost all had to laugh at the situation and the irony of it. Not because Geno got hurt, obviously, but just being thrown back in there. But it was a good drive. We had some guys make some plays down the field and we ran the ball well. It was nice for that initial drive to get out there and put one in the end zone."

Geno Smith on how frustrating it is to get the starting nod, then have to leave the game early with a knee injury..."That's how stuff works, man. That's how life works. I'm not thinking about that right now. I'm just happy we won. I think I'll be fine, but we'll see how it goes."

Jets DL Sheldon Richardson, who spearheaded the front seven with his run defense and pocket pressure..."RIP to my uncle. He was murdered on Tuesday. He guided me a little bit. I played with a heavy heart today. He got us through this win. I know he did."

Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh on WR Quincy Enunwa's 69-yard touchdown reception..."I think 81 is a nice player, he's a really good player. A lot of respect for him. We respected him coming into the game. But that's the kind of play we've been making year. Inside and in-front cut tackling is something we've been very good at. We weren't as good at it today, obviously, in that situation. We gave them a couple of scores that if those things don't happen, we win the football game."

Enunwa on how fast his 40 time is after he outraced several Ravens down the left sideline to the pylon for the Jets' first TD..."Four-four-five was my speed coming out of the combine, but I didn't get a chance to run my second one so I might've been a little faster. Sub-4.4? May be, may be. We'll never know."

Jets P Lachlan Edwards on muffing his first punt snap of the game, which turned into the Ravens' only touchdown..."It hit my hands. I should've caught it. It was a great team win today, everyone played their part. I didn't do as well as I could've but it's definitely something I can learn from for the rest of the year. It was a low spot for me. But the first thing Coach said to me was, 'Forget about it, we need you the rest of the game.' As hard as it is to let something that big and bad go, I did my best."

Ravens WR Mike Wallace on his team's 6 rushing yards vs. the Jets..."I'm glad I'm not the offensive coordinator in those situations. You have to try and pull a rabbit out of a hat when you're one-dimensional like that. I didn't know we had that amount of rushing yards. It's the position we put ourselves in. The coaches, it's not their fault. It's the players."

Ravens DT Timmy Jernigan, who recovered the goal line fumble but then tried to run it out and fumbled himself back to the Jets in the third quarter..."From now on, I don't care if I have 100 yards in front of me with no one in front of me, I'll fall on the ball just to make everybody happy. Everybody stays happy that way."

Fitzpatrick on being on the field today with a fellow Harvard grad in Baltimore FB Kyle Juszczyk and Jets LB teammate Mike Catapano (Princeton) and Josh Martin (Columbia)..."We had an Ivy League photo at the end of the game. There were four of us on the field. I had talked to [Kyle] before the game and after. I am very proud of my fellow Crimson in the NFL."
